Jonathan Weber is a certified personal trainer, nutrition coach and wellness coach. His transformative program Beyond Fitness activates mind and body through combining customized physical exercise with powerful wellness counseling.

Jonathan’s personal mission is to make his balanced health and fitness training approach accessible to everyone. He helps serve and empower real people to go beyond fitness to unleash their energy and achieve the balance, passion and fulfillment in their lives they deserve.

Beyond Fitness Training Program

My Beyond Fitness training is not a one size fits all solution but a transformative mind-body training program tailored to the whole individual. I get that quick fix stand-alone dieting, weight loss shakes and supplements aren’t sustainable. And I also understand that generic boot camps or a gym membership on their own are not the best answer.

My philosophy is that fitness is not a journey you take alone. Even the best athletes in the world need a coach. And an empowering coach believes in us even when we may not yet believe in ourselves – they serve us by seeing beyond what we see as possible and guiding us through it. Real and lasting transformation occurs within and through this empowering and supported partnership.

I promise to walk beside you at every step of the journey as a partner and as a friend. I full-heartedly believe that health, fitness and fulfillment of mind and body are a natural birthright. I've been through the fire and am committed to help you discover and unleash what's possible through mind and body fitness.

My Fitness Journey

I’m Jonathan.. a husband, father and wellness coach living in Brooklyn, NY. I love my work and am in a place in my life now where I have never been happier or more fulfilled in serving others to achieve their health and fitness goals. Yet even though my current lifestyle today may seem effortless, the truth is I did, and still do, face my share of challenges.

Since I was little I found it difficult to ask for help. Throughout my adolescence I suffered from anxiety and developed low self esteem, depression and body dysmorphia. I kept dodging my issues, running away from city to city, always looking for the next thing. In 2011, I finally hit a tipping point: I was drinking daily, weighed just under 200 pounds, had a heart palpitation, was on my way to type II diabetes, and my first marriage was failing...

It was at that point when something shifted for me, and it wasn't anything about my circumstances. In fact, no matter how I framed it, it seemed like all external odds were against me. Yet as A.C. Benson’s saying goes, “very often a change of self is needed more than a change of scenery.”

At the time I was pursuing a career in acting and was cast in a movie where the character I was playing was sober. Ultimately what hit me then was the realization that I cannot wait for my circumstances to change... that despite everything I still have the power to make a choice. So I chose to put my health first. And I chose to quit drinking. This decision started my inward journey of seeing and confronting myself for who I honestly am... and to begin rewriting the storyline of my life.

I had quit drinking, I started to lose weight and felt physically better, but I was still missing something. Something deep inside. I felt the familiar urge to run away again, when a second shift occurred for me two years later as a close friend asked me to run the 2013 NYC Marathon. My first marathon. Just the thought of it was daunting. Yet something inside this time boldly said YES. I was ready to run again -- not away from myself, but for myself. Running became a vehicle to get outside of myself and back out into the world.

The life I've created today is something I couldn't have envisioned possible for myself back then. I share my story now only because it's helped so many of the people I've served through my practice. My life's work has now become about helping others like you to achieve what may not yet seem within reach. And I want to share with you the mental and physical transformation that health and fitness made possible for me because it truly works. This was the missing piece in my life and it's my personal mission now to help you fulfill yours.
